Electroporation is a molecular transdermal transmission technique that is applied to cells in order to increase permeability of the cell membrane to allow in depth selected substances to be introduced into the cell.
This molecular administration method enables the active ingredients to penetrate to the desired depths ensuring lasting and visible results from the very first session.
The electrical currents create temporary electropores in the skin. It is through these electropores that active ingredients are introduced during which cosmeceuticals penetrate the subcutaneous level of the skin.
The electropores remain open only for a short while. Once the time period for which the pores remain open has elapsed, they close down with the cosmeceutical products firmly trapped inside the spaces between the cells.
With so many advantages, the Electroporation technique finds many uses in Facial and Body Application.
Whilst Mesotherapy is a procedure that does exactly the same thing, it is painful and results in downtime. With Electroporation (which is also called no-needle mesotherapy) the products easily penetrate down to the subcutaneous level of the skin, providing all the benefits without the associated pain of needles or possible bruising.
Electroporation is painless and non-invasive and has a short application duration. In addition to the equipment used it is important that the use of specific water-soluble cosmetic products are used that have been designed with the precise intention of increasing the effectiveness of the treatment and its duration time.
Training is included at our HOF Training Centre.
